Management

S. M. Yahya Memorial Hostel is under the management of the Bhatkal Muslim Jama’at Bangalore. For efficient working of the hostel, the responsibility of day-to-day management is delegated to the Hostel Managing Committee (HMC).

Hostel accommodation is made purely at the discretion of the HMC of Bhatkal Muslim Jama’at, Bangalore and on condition that the student agrees to abide by all the rules and regulation of the hostel. The HMC, Bhatkal Muslim Jama’at, Bangalore may refuse hostel facilities without giving any reason.

Supervision and Control

The supervision and control of the students residing at the hostel will rest with the Warden. The Warden shall seek necessary guidance and instruction from HMC, Bhatkal Muslim Jama’at from time to time for the efficient management of the hostel.

Hostel Betterment Committee

To facilitate smooth functioning of the hostel and mess administration, a Hostel Betterment Committee of hostellites will be formed by HMC, Bhatkal Muslim Jama’at, Banaglore, at the commencement of each academic year.

The functions of the Hostel Betterment Committee are

To see that a peaceful and academic atmosphere is maintained in the hostel
To safeguard hostel and mess properties
To exercise vigilance and to see that no pilferage occurs from the hostel , mess or store.
To review all breaches of hostel rules and suggest ways and means to prevent them
To look into the grievances of the hostellites and to suggest ways of solving such grievances.
To suggest improvements of the existing facilities in the hostel
To suggest improving the food and services in the mess
To suggest methods of controlling the mess expenses without sacrificing the quality and any such matters with the permission of the convener of the Hostel Betterment Committee.
